Pattern is simple but very easy to get off track. No going back!
I had to start over. The pattern was really getting off track and it was turning into a blanket rather than a shawl. I’ve cut down on the stitches on the needle and it seems to be going better.
Oddly the knitting is much happier now. H
Update may 2015. I finished the shawl, but was ultimately unhappy with the result. The chain played yarn was unsuitable for a lace pattern. Will try again with a two ply yarn.
Doubling single ply natural with plied yarn. Casting on 60 stitches after reading other project notes.
Finished the cowl and ripped it out. There was a mistake right in the middle I couldn’t stand and it was a little wider and shorter than I wanted. Will cast on 50 stitches and make it a bit longer.
This shawl/scarf was knit with two skeins of stashed handspun. I just knit until I ran out of yarn. The pattern is made up from Stephen West’s Craftsy shawl course using yarn overs and colour changes.
First time using dp needles.
